On November 1st 2025, 29,123 people in Buncombe County lost access to food. That’s one out of every ten of our neighbors. At Covenant Community, we are stepping up as we launch a new effort called ‘Closing the Gap on SNAP’. We can make a direct impact by providing “A Day’s Meal” food bags or gift cards to help families in our school system bridge this critical time.
Distribution will be handled through AC Reynolds School System directly to families in need. Please fill out this form if you are in need of assistance.

“Tales of christmas past”
Before the angels sang…before the star rose…before shepherds hurried to a borrowed manger…there were tales. Tales whispered around fires in the wilderness. Tales carried through exile. Tales told by prophets whose words outlived empires. Tales of a God who kept promising to show up even in the dark. Generation after generation held onto these sacred tales of hope, justice, joy and peace. And when the night finally broke open over Bethlehem, those ancient tales didn’t fade. They came to life. This Advent, we return to the prophets and to the tales that shaped a people and prepared the world to welcome Christ. These are the tales handed down to us. These are the tales we carry forward. These are the Tales of Christmas Past.
