CONNECTING WITH GOD

Early Childhood (Newborn - Age 5): Spiritual development in a child’s earliest years lays a foundation for a child’s relationships with God and others.

We provide an age appropriate, safe, warm, and fun environment for our littlest ones so that they may experience God’s love through every song, hug, story, game, and craft.

We use First Look curriculum which is based on Psalm 119:18: Open my eyes so that I can see the wonderful truths. It is designed to give children a first impression of their loving Heavenly Father, so they will know these three main truths:

1.       God Made Me

2.       God Loves Me

3.       Jesus wants to be my Friend Forever

Elementary (Grades K-5): Spiritual development in an elementary child develops in stages.  In their early elementary years they being to establish and learn about their relationships with God and others.  In middle elementary we begin to give kids a reason for their faith and we help preteens recognize that they have choices.  The elementary years are a critical time to help kids understand what a personal relationship with Jesus is really all about.

Through large group worship and interactive Bible teaching using 252 Basics curriculum which is based on Luke 2:52, Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. Lessons focus on at least one of the three basic concepts areas from this verse:

1.       I need to make the wise choice. (Wisdom)

2.       I can trust God no matter what. (Faith)

3.       I should treat others the way I want to be treated. (Friendship)
