“unlearning”

Lent is a season of turning and returning. Turning away from what distorts, and returning to the God who is near. This series invites us to name the false stories we have learned about God, ourselves, and one another, and to begin the slow, holy work of unlearning them. From scarcity to abundance, from control to trust, from fear to courage, from performance to grace, we listen again for the voice of Jesus, who leads us from lies to life. This Lent, we are not striving to become someone new. We are learning our way back to who we already are in God’s love through a deliberate and determined process of Unlearning.
