Community Outreach

We aim to invite people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through serving others. To serve, we move beyond our building into the community to care for our neighbors in need. Locally, we serve through projects that minister to human need (i.e. feed the hungry, crisis ministries, community garden, car care).

Our goal is to meet practical needs that open up opportunities to share the Gospel through relational service. Relational service is more than just having a canned food drive for example; it is an ongoing commitment to connect with hurting people to make and see life change.

Who can serve?

Anyone. Take a first step into serving whether you’re serving with your small group, your family, or individually. And, yes, we said family. Most community outreach projects are suitable for adults and kids. We value service and strive to make our projects kid friendly so that parents can serve alongside their kids to teach them the value of service. You don't have to attend Covenant to be able to serve. Invite your friends, co-workers, or anyone else and join us!

Local Organizations We Support

We have formed ongoing relationships with organizations around our community and most of our Community Outreach Projects involve the following:

ABCCM | The Bair Foundation | Haywood Street Congregation & Respite | Homeward Bound | Local Schools | New Direction Farm

Collections

Out of response to God's greatest gift to us - Jesus coming to earth to rescue His people - it is a natural response for us to desire to give to others, especially those in need.

Donation Request

Covenant will seek donations of goods from the congregation for a worthy need. This request must be completed and presented to Missions Team no later than 30 days in advance of the first Sunday of the month in which it is desired. The Missions team will determine if the collection is in line with our mission and vision before approving and/or advertising for the collection. Completing an application does not guarantee approval. Click here for a Donations Request form.
